Pursuit is a section dedicated to artist that are pursuing their
passions full time. Since Hidden Hippies is a conscious collective, it
is only fitting we expose the artist contributing to our movement of
Humble Individuals Promoting Positive Infinite Energy. We truly hope you
gain a deeper understanding of the artist as well as their intentions.
The overall mission behind Passion Pursuit is to simply show the youth
“You can do it too”..........“Without art, the crudeness of reality
would make the world unbearable.” -George Bernard Shaw.

We recently had the opportunity to have a sit
down with Seli P also known as Marselis Dennis. As some may know Seli P
is 1/3 of Sinful Music, however he is currently working on a couple of
solo projects as well. Individuals like Seli P, helps keep our dreams
alive here at Hidden Hippies. We are thrilled to announce the release of
his 3rd Mixtape entitled TheFANTAPE !!!! Thank you Seli P we

HH: When did you initially decide to pursue your passion full time ?
Seli
P: When I was 13 years old I use to freestyle with my friends. After a
couple of cyphers, I realized I possessed a gift. My friends encouraged
me to write more, and the rest is history......
HH: What do you think the world will gain from your work ?
Seli
P: I plan to bring more positive energy to the world. By creating
sounds that have never been heard before and uplifting my listeners. We
are all beautiful people with purpose, I just wanna show it.
HH: How do you get inspired as an artist ?
Seli
P: I would have to say music gives me a lot of my inspiration. When I
listen to a beat my brother made or create a beat myself , it's pretty
much instant inspiration.
HH: What do you believe separates you from other artist ?
Seli
P: I like to think I sound like myself. I make a conscious effort to be
original in everything I do. Personally I respect other artist enough
to not duplicate their work. It is not easy to create, so I respect
other artist regardless if they do the same for me.
HH: So far what has been your hardest obstacle to overcome ?
Seli
P: As an independent artist I do all my promoting myself. Developing a
loyal following was not easy initially due there being so many other
artist to listen to. Being heard has been my hardest obstacle thus far.
HH: How does it feel to see what you envisioned becoming a reality ?
Seli
P: It feels great I LOVE the LOVE that I get from my fans. I know it's a
work in progress and I'm only half way there, however it's truly
rewarding to see yourself getting closer to your dreams.
HH: What are some of the most common misconceptions you encounter as an artist?
Seli
P: I use profanity in my lyrics, not because I don't posses the words
to express myself without it. I personally just prefer to keep it real
at all times no need to sugar coat it....
HH: If you could only use one word to describe yourself, what would the word be ?
Seli P: Extraordinary
